Best Umidigi Smartphones 2022 | Umidigi Smartphone Review!

Umidigi has been one of my favourite up and coming brands recently. But now they have truly arrived. Umidigi smartphones are a force to reckon with and they are getting quite popular even outside China.

Umidigi phones are known for their affordable price and great quality. They do have intense competition in the Chinese market and outside the Chinese market with the likes of Xiaomi and other brands. But I feel they have carved a name for themselves.

I tested out a few Umidigi phones for this review and also when they released, just to see how they are. And this review is based on my testing of the Umidigi phones.

Umidigi Bison Rugged Phone

Umidigi Bison Rugged Phone is about 6.3 inches with a 1080p display with 409ppi. It’s a great phone if you’re looking for something long lasting. The phone is protected with gorilla glass and the body is made with polycarbonate material. 

The rear camera is of 48 MP and has 16 MP wide wide sensor, 5 MP depth sensor and macro lens which can be used for underwater photography as well. The front cam is 24 MP. It’s a great phone to have.

Umidigi A7 Pro

The Umidigi A7 Pro is one of the more popular Umidigi phones out there. It’s a budget device that is aimed at competing with the Redmi Note series. So what makes the A7 awesome?

The A7 is an Android 10 device with a Quad camera. It’s the latest Umidigi device. 

The display is a 6.3-inch FHD+ 19.5 : 9 aspect ratio and a raindrop notch. It has pretty thick bezels at the bottom.

The back of the phone is actually made of glass, which is different from most of the budget phones out there that are made of plastic. 

The back houses a fingerprint sensor and it comes in Cosmic Black and Ocean Blue. The A7 Pro runs on the Mediatek Helio P23 which is a pretty good chipset for a budget device. It’s capable enough to run a Quad camera. This means it can do much else!

It runs on the latest Android 10 which is the stock Android. It has a dual sim card slot. There is a 128GB version and a 64GB version with a 4GB RAM. 

The A7 Pro has a quad camera that is a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120 degree field of view, 5-megapixel macro camera, another 16-megapixel main camera, and a 5-megapixel depth camera.

The front selfie camera is also a 16-megapixel shooter. It has a 4150 mAh battery that is pretty solid.

Umidigi S5 Pro 

The Umidigi S5 Pro is one of the premium offerings from Umidigi. It costs around only $250 and it’s packed with some super powerful features. 

Although it’s a $250 smartphone, it has features that are equal to the One Plus 8 and other premium features. Here they are.

It has a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen. It’s a really solid screen. The fingerprint sensor is within the display which is always a good experience.

The phone has a premium finish with a pop-up camera. It comes in Cosmic Black and Ocean Blue which are pretty standard colours for Umidigi devices. 

It has a Mediatek Helio G90T. Most gaming fans know that this is a processor built for intense gaming. It has 8 Cores. It runs on the latest Android 10, stock version, which is always clean and simple.

It has a 6GB RAM with 256GB of storage which is perfect for gaming, again. It has a dual sim card tray.

The camera setup is a 48-megapixel main camera, 16-megapixel wide angle camera, 5-megapixel depth camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

The front camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with portrait mode features.

Umidigi F2 

The Umidigi F2 is another $200 smartphone that packs quite a bit of features. Its another Android 10.0 release and here’s why this phone is worth every penny. 

It has a 6.53-inch with a punch hole camera and no notch. The bezels at the bottom are quite thin as well.

It comes in Black & Blue with a slight gradient finish. The side of the phone has the power button and the fingerprint sensor which is a modern design. 

Although it’s mostly screen, the screen to body ratio is merely 82%. It runs on stock Android 10.0 which most people know is the smoothest Android experience and is blazing fast. 

There is no unnecessary bloatware. 

The MediaTek Helio P70 is the processor with a 2.10 Ghz. It also has a 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage. 

It has a 5150 mAh battery which is pretty massive and big for a phone of this caliber. It has the Pump Express, Quick battery 18W charging which is pretty awesome for a budget device.

The main highlight for the F2 is of course the cameras. 

The main camera is a quad camera setup with a 48-megapixel main camera, 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 5-megapixel depth camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

From close-up shots to shots that are further away. This is the perfect camera.

The front camera is a massive 32-megapixel shooter that makes it look like you have two main cameras in the front and back.

Considering the camera app is Stock Android, you get basic features, which are pretty decent and are not too bad.

The F2 is another budget device that is a super hit from Umidigi. Another super product that Umidigi specializes in is smartwatches. Umidigi Smartwatches are making a huge wave in the smartwatch world.

Umidigi Power 3 

The Umidigi Power 3 is probably one of the better Umidigi phones out there. It’s another budget device that looks good, feels good and has the specs of a flagship phone. 

So why is it good?

The Power 3 rocks a 6.53-inch FHD+ display. It has a punch-hole camera and pure screen which is a really solid screen for a budget device. Although there’s a camera in the front display it’s barely visible.

It’s a beautiful looking phone that is available in Grey, Green and Red. 

Powering the phone is the Mediatek Helio P60. It’s a much better performing chipset with 50% better performance and more efficiency. 

It has a dual sim card slot with a SD card for expanding storage. It runs on 4G VOLTE which is available in most countries.

Like most Umidigi devices, it rocks a quad camera. 

The main camera is a 48-megapixel main shooter, a 5-megapixel depth camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera with a viewing angle of 120 degrees and a 5-megapixel macro camera. 

The main camera has a bigger sensor, larger aperture and a super pixel.

Yes, Umidigi phones are great because of their sleek metallic body and battery life. It’s extremely affordable and has amazing performance features like crispy display, solid build, camera etc. 

Does Umidigi have a 5G phone?

 Umidigi smartphones are developing 5G phones which will be out in the market soon. 

Is Umidigi dual SIM?

Yes, most Umidigi phones are dual sim and have 2 sim slots. You can put on both sims and set priority on whichever one you use the most. 

Is UMIDIGI A7 a good phone?

Yes, the Umidigi A7 is a good phone on a moderate budget. The camera quality and battery life is also pretty good.
